Why do we sometimes receive diving suits with an odd smell? The root cause lies in the materials used. As is well known, diving materials are synthetic foam rubber. When they are freshly produced and not yet stable, we can smell a faint rubber odor on the original board. Once the diving material board stabilizes, this smell will become very faint. Our products only use diving materials that are factory-produced after the board stabilizes. Thus, customers will not receive any unpleasant smell when they receive diving suits.

So, what should we do if we smell an unpleasant odor?

Currently, customers who purchase raw materials have not reported any unpleasant odor, but in general, customers who purchase composite materials have more complaints. Why is that? Because the adhesive used in the composite fabric is unique, so there will be a slight odor. However, there is no need to worry about the odor problem of the composite diving materials. This odor can also be removed. Two methods can be used to handle it.

When the diving materials are delivered, they will be packaged in rolls and placed in a ventilated area for a period of time. If transportation is urgent, two fans can be used to blow air on the materials, and the odor will dissipate.

This composite diving material has a stronger odor because it uses composite glue. To enhance the durability of the fabric composite diving material, the glue used is unique, so there will be a slight odor. When the composite diving material is used in specific products, if you want an odor-free suit, you can choose to use a glue with a fainter odor to match.

The odor of the diving material itself is not particularly strong. Usually, customers come into contact with semi-finished products made of diving composite fabric. The adhesive used in the composite process has a stronger odor and is more irritating. Most customers’ feedback problems are actually this odor, which is actually related to the composite process.
